Estate planning documents known in the United States as trusts, wills and powers of attorney entail “fiduciary” and “testamentary” documents. In Brazil, country of origin of the principal attorney of Trust Brasil, those are known as documents of succession governed by the Civil law.
The services provided by our office, including preparation and administration of estate planning related documents, and the name Trust Brasil (yes, with an “S”) initially arose from our need to serve our large Brazilian community in California. Our office is open to all nationalities. While we are a bilingual law firm, that only means that we are fluent in two languages and in two legal worlds.
We offer concierge level estate planning and trust administration services and deliver excellence. That comes from establishing with our clients a relationship founded in trust (in Portuguese, confiança).

Clients of all nationalities are welcome. Our services are grounded in American law, and all legal documents are prepared in English.
We offer personalized estate planning — assessed across multiple scenarios and, when requested, explained in Brazilian Portuguese. Our role is to apply the legal tools available under California and federal law to inform and protect each client's estate planning and asset preservation needs.
Estate planning — with the goal of avoiding or minimizing court costs after death — is available to everyone, regardless of age, immigration status in California, or the size and value of your assets. Because the most meaningful asset in this work is life itself, and what it means for the people who remain, including in terms of asset distributions, guardianship of minors, and the care for disabled family members.
